PVC pipe fittings and PPR pipe fittings are now very common materials used in pipeline construction. The two are very similar in name. There is only one word difference. Many people are very vague about their concept. So what are the two? What is the difference? Let's follow Seko plastic and see detail.

First, the raw materials used in production are different.

PPR pipe fittings are made of PVC pipe fittings using copolymerized polypropylene materials, while PVC pipe fittings are made of polyvinyl chloride materials. The production materials are different, resulting in different performance.

Second, the color is different

The PPR pipe material of polypropylene material has bright appearance and better toughness of the pipe. Other color pipes can be produced according to different color masterbatch; PVC pipe parts are mostly milky white, the surface is shiny, but the cross section is not, the material is relatively fragile.

Third, the wall thickness is different

The products produced by Gudi PVC pipe fittings are divided into four pipes and six pipes, the wall thickness is 2.3mm and 3.5mm respectively; the wall thickness of PVC pipe fittings is 6mm, the wall thickness is 2.0mm, and the wall thickness of 8-10mm is 2.5mm.

Fourth, production costs are different. Due to the material and wall thickness, the production cost and price of the two are also different. In general, the price of PPR fittings is relatively high.

Fifth, different uses

PVC pipe fittings are not as hygienic and safe as PPR pipe fittings. PPR pipe fittings are generally used as water supply pipes in home installations. They can be used for hot and cold water pipes. PVC pipe fittings are often used for drain pipes. Only cold water pipes can be used.
