After clearing the air in the pipeline to be tested, increase the working pressure to the specified working pressure value at a steady variable pressure speed. The barometer should be placed as low as possible in this section of the pipeline.
The pressure test can also be carried out before or after the pipeline is backfilled. The pipeline should be covered with soil at the necessary spacing, especially for snaked pipelines. The pipeline should be fixed in place during the pressure test. The flange connection part should be exposed to facilitate inspection for leakage.
The test pressure of the pressure test shall not exceed the working pressure level of PE pipe material or 1.5 times of the working pressure level of the accessories of the system's low and medium working pressure levels. At the beginning, the working pressure shall be increased to the specified test pressure value and stay for sufficient time to ensure The pipe is fully expanded. This entire process must take 2-3 hours. When the system is stable, increase the working pressure to 1.5 times of the working pressure, stabilize the pressure for 1 hour, carefully observe the barometer, and make inspections along the coast. If there is no visible leakage or significant pressure drop caused by the naked eye, the pipeline is tested according to the pressure.
During the whole process of the pressure test, because the continuous expansion of the pipe may cause the pressure drop, it is normal to cause the necessary pressure drop during the whole process of the test, and it cannot be proved that the pipeline system has undoubtedly caused leakage or damage.
